Medical Director
Position Overview
The Medical Director provides psychiatric oversight and clinical governance for Thompson’s North Carolina programs. This role is administrative and supervisory in nature and is designed to complement a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is responsible for day-to-day psychiatric care.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist in North Carolina
- Active NC medical license
- Enrolled and in good standing with NC Medicaid
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric care (child/adolescent experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet credentialing and privileging standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
What does this position offer?
Starting Pay Range: $150.00-$250 hourly
Note
All residential staff must pass a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and demonstrate proper physical Therapeutic techniques and holds.
