About the role
As Medical Director, you'll collaborate with executive leadership to drive clinical excellence, oversee quality initiatives, support provider development, and ensure exceptional patient outcomes. This role provides both administrative leadership and direct patient care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic clinical leadership for Boundless Health
- Supervise and mentor clinical providers and staff
- Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
- Drive performance related to UDS, HEDIS, PCMH, and other quality measures
- Support patient safety, infection control, and risk management efforts
- Collaborate with internal and external healthcare partners
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan
- Manage acute and chronic conditions while promoting preventive care
- Support growth and innovation within the health center
Requirements
- Board Certified Physician in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Active Ohio medical license in good standing, or the ability to obtain Ohio licensure
- Experience providing primary care in a community health, public health, or outpatient setting
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Knowledge of quality initiatives, healthcare compliance, and clinical operations
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) accreditation standards
- Experience with UDS reporting, HEDIS measures, and Meaningful Use requirements
- Previous physician leadership, medical director, or clinical management experience
- Experience overseeing quality assurance and performance improvement programs
