About the role

The role includes dedicated time for administrative responsibilities as well as direct clinical care on the unit. Clinically, you will provide state-of-the-art acute psychiatric and substance related disorder care for adolescents aged 12-17. The inpatient unit will include an experienced team of psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical providers to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide state-of-the-art acute psychiatric and substance related disorder care for adolescents aged 12-17
  • Lead a clinical service in psychiatry
  • Work in an inpatient setting
  • Teach in didactic or other supervisory settings in the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship or psychiatry residency at Dartmouth

Requirements

  • Board certified (or eligible) in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry
  • Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
  • Post graduate training in residency program
  • Current New Hampshire Medical License
  • Active hospital staff membership

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in working in an inpatient setting
  • Experience leading a clinical service in psychiatry
  • Skilled clinician

Pay

Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
