About the role
As the Business Office Supervisor, you will contribute to the company’s mission, vision, and values by coordinating daily operations for the front office. This includes overseeing functions of scheduling, chart preparation, patient registration, and collecting patient deposits.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate business office employee schedules daily to ensure that assigned areas are staffed
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of chart preparation, data entry, and pre-certification as required by insurance plans and collections
- Reconcile daily front office collections
- Work with your nurse manager and/or nurse coordinator to ensure daily schedule is streamlined
- Maintain a blocked schedule list
- Responsible for opening and/or closing procedures of your facility based on hours worked
- Maintain a log for the center front desk petty cash fund
- Serve as back up for business office positions when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (e.g., ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctor’s office)
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred
- BLS may be required as per facility standard
