Role: The Medical Assistant Supervisor oversees daily operations of the medical assistant team at a pediatric healthcare facility. They ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and smooth administrative functions. The supervisor manages appointment scheduling, collaborates with healthcare providers, and addresses operational challenges to enhance patient service delivery. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate medical assistant activities, ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards.Manage appointment scheduling and workflow to optimize provider availability.Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance and adherence to protocols.Collaborate with healthcare teams and administrative staff to improve operational efficiency.Perform clinical duties as needed to support team functions. Qualifications & Skills Completion of a Medical Assisting program or equivalent (LPN, RN, EMT).At least 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in a family, internal medicine, or pediatrics setting.Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.Proficiency in appointment scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR).Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.Preferred: CMA or RMA certification, higher education in Health Sciences, leadership training, and bilingual abilities. Skills: Effective management of patient flow, clinical support, leadership, communication, and compliance with healthcare standards.
