About the Role

The Medical Assistant Supervisor oversees daily activities of the medical assistant team, ensuring efficient patient flow, quality care, and smooth operations within a healthcare facility. They coordinate appointment scheduling, manage workflows, and serve as a communication link between staff, providers, and patients. The supervisor provides training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to uphold clinical and administrative standards, contributing to patient satisfaction and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate medical assistant activities to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and workflow processes.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate staff to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and professional development.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative teams to address operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Perform Medical Assisting duties when necessary.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assisting program or equivalent (LPN, RN, EMT).
  • At least 3 years of medical assistant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Proficiency in appointment scheduling systems and EHR.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential.
  • Higher education in health sciences.
  • Leadership training.
  • Bilingual abilities.
