About the Role
The Medical Assistant I (MA I) supports licensed practitioners by performing clinical and administrative duties to provide basic patient care. They ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations while assisting with patient needs in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Assist with administrative duties to facilitate patient care and clinic operations.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering patient-focused, whole-person care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school with clinical training, or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or at least one year of clinical experience.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
- Within 30 days, obtain BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a clinic and with electronic health records is preferred.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills, especially in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to follow established policies and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
