Medical Assistant - Primary Care

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties assisting in patient care. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic. You’ll help with administrative and clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating information in EPIC, and taking patients’ vital signs. Our clinical environments foster teamwork and provide pathways to leadership for MAs with a desire to advance their careers.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed practitioners in providing patient care.
- Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and updating patient information in EPIC.
- Conduct clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Work in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
- Completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including clinical skills such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $26.47 - $40.49 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full-time, day shift.
