Medical Assistant - Primary Care

About the role

This part-time Medical Assistant position is based at the South Campus in the Community Based Pediatrics department, offering approximately 24 hours per week with varied hours Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, weight, and height, and assisting with procedures
• Documenting accurately in EPIC to ensure timely provider notes and encounter closure
• Managing patient flow, chaperoning, stocking exam rooms, and ordering tests and supplies
• Delegating appropriate tasks under supervision of RN, nurse practitioners, or physicians
• Interacting with staff to maintain efficient patient care and excellent customer service

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assisting program

Certifications/Training

• CPR certification (preferred at hire or must be obtained within two weeks of starting)
