Medical Assistant or LPN - BayCare Medical Group

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Collects and reviews patient histories and performs routine laboratory procedures.
• Prepares specimens for laboratory testing and communicates results to both the provider and patient.
• Provides patient education materials and maintains records of patient interactions.
• Maintains medical equipment and orders necessary clinical supplies.
• Enters and updates patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations.
• Performs other tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six months of employment or proof of active license/certification.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), Paramedic, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
