Medical Assistant or LPN

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Collects and manages patient histories, performs routine laboratory procedures, and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Follows up on test orders, communicates results to both providers and patients, and educates patients on relevant health information.
• Maintains and updates patient electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Safeguards compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations.
• Engages in other tasks as directed.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification within six months of employment or proof of active license/certification.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
• Paramedic certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of medical assistant experience preferred.

Schedule

The position is full-time with shift hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional variations. The schedule operates Monday through Friday, and there is no weekend work or on-call requirements.
