Responsibilities

  • Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Collects and reviews patient histories, conducts routine laboratory procedures, and prepares specimens for laboratory transport.
  • Follows up on test orders, communicates results to both provider and patient, and delivers patient education materials.
  • Maintains medical equipment and orders necessary clinical supplies.
  • Enters and updates patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations.
  • Performs other tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six months of hire or proof of active license/certification.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification.
  • Paramedic certification.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of medical assistant experience preferred.

Pay

Compensation details are confidential and will be provided upon successful completion of the hiring process.

Schedule

Full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with shifts that may vary.

Location

Required to travel throughout Pinellas and Pasco counties in Florida.

Weekend Work

No weekend work is required.

On Call

No on-call responsibilities are associated with this position.
