Medical Assistant or LPN - Urgent Care Float Team Pool
Position Details
Location: Float Team
Status: Pool (non-exempt)
Schedule: Twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday (or until the last patient leaves) with two days on, then two days off rotation.
This will include every other weekend (Weekend Differential may apply)
Float Team: This Pool position will require travel to satellite locations providing own transportation (submitted, approved mileage reimbursable) throughout Hillsborough & Polk, Pinellas & Pasco Counties. Sometimes this is with minimal notice.
To compensate for the travel expectations, you will receive an additional $2.00/hour above your base rate when working & mileage reimbursement.

Pay

Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab
- Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies
- Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR)
- Complies with all applicable regulatory agency regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certification & Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire and Approved Medical Assistant Certification required within 6 months of hire date or proof of active license/certification
- Or EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
- Or NREMT (Nationally Recognized Emergency Medical Technician)
- Or Paramedic
- Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
