Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse - Pain Management Clinic

Responsibilities

• Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care
• Administer medications, give immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures like wound care and suture removal
• Keep patient records up to date in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running efficiently
• Help patients understand their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained
• Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting)
• Knowledge of POCT, Immunizations, and Injections
• Radiology Certification (if applicable) – If the role requires X-ray functions, must have radiology training from your MA program or a validated competency checklist
