Medical Assistant/LPN -Regional Float

Part-Time, First Shift position in a Physician Office located in Kettering.

Responsibilities

  • Assists physician in examinations.
  • Provides instructions to patients as directed by the physician.
  • Takes vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Stocks rooms with adequate medical supplies.
  • Washes and dries instruments, and prepares sterilization as required.
  • Assists with procedures taught through formal training or by licensed nurse/physician(s).
  • Maintains medical records in accordance with procedures and forms.
  • Follows principles of medical ethics.
  • Performs other duties related to the business operation of the medical practice as assigned by the physician(s) or practice office manager.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant, or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Management program that meets nationally accepted standards.
  • Within 15 months of hire, must attain and retain one of the following certifications/registrations: CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT), or RMA (through ARMA), plus documented completion of a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Ability to float between a variety of practices in the Dayton area.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Computer literacy in word processing and email; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and the public.
  • Ability to follow direction, accept orders, perform repetitive tasks, and demonstrate patience, courtesy, and tact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Positions available in all regions of Kettering Health Medical Group (KHMG).
