Medical Assistant/LPN - Regional Float

Responsibilities

• Aids in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the provider.
• Performs administrative support duties throughout the practice.
• Assists in interviewing patients and measuring vital signs.
• Records information in patients' charts and prepares treatment rooms.
• Assists in enhancing efficiency and continuity of patient care.

Requirements

• Within 15 months of hire, must attain and retain one of the following certifications/registrations: CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or RMA (through ARMA).
• Must complete a Medical Assisting program through an accredited institution of higher learning within 15 months of hire.
• May be hired with six months of experience as a STNA, but must obtain acceptable credentialed medical assistant certification before administering medication or entering Epic orders.
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program with current Ohio license.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments, and the public.
• Acceptable ability to work under time constraints, multi-task, and work autonomously with little direction.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow directions.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred.
