About the role

Medical Assistant- Float (Urology Practice)

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• Auxiliary in the data entry process.
• Auxiliary in examinations and all office procedures.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
• Bilingual in English and Russian (Preferred).
• Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
• Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs.
• Must be able to float to our Brooklyn and Staten island urology locations.

Qualifications

$24 per hour

5 8.5 Hour Shifts; Monday - Friday (7:30a-7p)
