About the role
Medical Assistant- Float (Urology Practice)
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
- Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
- Record patients' vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Auxiliary in the data entry process.
- Auxiliary in examinations and all office procedures.
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- Bilingual in English and Russian (Preferred).
- Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
- Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs.
- Must be able to float to our Brooklyn and Staten island urology locations.

5 8.5 Hour Shifts; Monday - Friday (7:30a-7p)
