Medical Assistant - Float

About the Role

This position involves providing patient care as a Medical Assistant (MA) I or II, working under the delegation of licensed practitioners. The MA II performs all MA I duties and is fully competent in clinical functions, while the MA I handles basic patient care, administrative, and clinical tasks. Both roles require adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care across diverse clinic settings, including primary, pediatric, and specialty care.
• Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication management.
• Support administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Float across clinics, providing flexibility and variety in work locations.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program, registered MAA program, or equivalent military medical training.
• Minimum of 6 months healthcare and medical assisting experience.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification.
• Additional experience in customer service and EHR systems is advantageous.
