Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist, Full-Time - Klein, TX

About the role

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist to join our team at our new location in Klein, TX. You will play a crucial role in our clinical operations by providing essential support to our medical team, patients, and the infusion center.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients in person or virtually and updates patient charts with required information
• Communicates pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of care
• Supports administrative and front-end tasks: greets patients, schedules appointments, handles phone calls, processes payments
• Oversees and ensures efficient exam room turnover
• Aids providers in the exam room as needed
• Collects, prepares, and submits ordered patient lab specimens as directed
• Aids the Patient Services team in obtaining prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documents
• Triage patient phone calls and messages and documents them appropriately
• Orders and manages supplies under the direction of the manager
• Disinfects and stocks exam rooms
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment day
• Fulfills other administrative and support duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start date
• One year of experience working within a clinical environment
• One year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred

• Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity

Pay

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00
Bonus Plan Target: 5% annually (based on performance)

Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
