About the role

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist to join our team at our Lancaster, PA location. In this position, you will play a crucial role in our clinical operations by providing essential support to our medical team, patients, and the infusion center.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes patients in person or virtually and updates patient charts with required information
  • Communicates pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of care
  • Provides administrative and front-end support: greets patients, assists with scheduling, manages phone calls (incoming and outgoing), and processes payments
  • Oversees and ensures efficient turnover of exam rooms
  • Aids providers in the exam room as requested
  • Collects, prepares, and submits ordered patient lab specimens as directed
  • Affords support to the Patient Services team to obtain prior authorizations for prescribed treatments and documents
  • Triage patient phone calls and messages and documents them appropriately
  • Orders and manages supplies under the direction of the manager
  • Disinfects and stocks the exam rooms
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, reporting patient issues as needed throughout the treatment day
  • Fulfills company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent, required
  • Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
  • CPR/BLS, required prior to start date
  • One year of experience working within a clinical environment, required
  • One year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role, required
  • Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred

Skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients, and physicians
  • Computer skills for electronic recordkeeping
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Pay

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/Hour
Bonus Plan Target: 5% Annually (Based on performance)

Schedule

Monday - Friday | 7:30am - 4:30pm
Saturday | 7:30am - 12:30pm
