Pay

$16.20/hour – $24.82/hour

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• One of the following credentials:
  • State Registered Nurse Assistant (SRNA)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) nursing student who has completed first fundamental course and a clinical
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / medic (including military medic)
  • Graduate from a medical assistant program
  • Graduate from a licensed practical nursing program
  • Clinical Services Technician (CST) III at UK in the last 12 months
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the Healthcare Provider through American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50–100 pounds on a daily basis
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient medical history information
• Expedite patient flow and room patients
• Stock clinic with supplies
• Navigate electronic health record system
• Schedule and follow-up with appointments
• Assist with medication fill requests, prior authorizations, and schedule tests, procedures, and consults
• Communicate respectfully with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians
• Adhere to UK Healthcare behavioral expectations for service excellence

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience
