Med Surg Clinical Nurse - Nights

Role Overview

The registered nurse will provide direct patient care on a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Responsibilities include promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients on managing their conditions, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients. The role requires critical assessment of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license required
• Experience: No experience necessary; 2 years of experience preferred for higher-level roles
• Additional: Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; ability to work safely and alertly in a safety-sensitive environment
