Clinical Nurse - Med Surg Nights

About the role

Provides direct patient care on a 16-bed Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative team input.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural background.
• Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Engages in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensure as an RN required.
• No previous experience necessary, but two years of experience is preferred.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
