Clinical Nurse - Med Surg Nights

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a healing environment by educating patients and families about care management.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance.
• Develop and implement care plans with measurable goals, coordinating with team members and patients.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers to involvement.
• Maintain safety standards, working in a constant state of alertness.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
