Clinical Nurse - Med Surg Nights

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management and medication, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication across the care continuum.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients, considering preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Develop and document individualized care plans.
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities.
• Deliver compassionate patient care and educate patients and families.
• Support hospital safety and quality standards.
• Engage in professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
