Med Surg Clinical Nurse - Nights

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety and quality standards. The nurse will educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications, while promoting a healing environment.

Key Duties

• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans aligned with standards of nursing care.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
• Communicate effectively across care continuum to ensure seamless care delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

• RN licensure is required; BSN degree is preferred.
• No prior experience necessary; however, two years of experience is preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
