About the Role
The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Observe residents during and after medication passes
- Monitor symptoms and administer medications for relief
- Report refusals or concerns promptly
- Complete narcotic counts and maintain medication carts and rooms
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Medication Administration certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Senior care experience preferred
