About the Role
The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. Play a crucial role in preventing medication errors, early health change detection, and safeguarding resident safety through attention to detail and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications per physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document accurately in MAR/TAR
- Observe residents during and after medication passes
- Monitor symptoms and report concerns
- Complete narcotic counts
- Maintain clean medication carts
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medication Administration certification
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Senior care experience is preferred.
