Mechanical Site Supervisor

Location: Beckton, London FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading national service provider within the utilities sector for an experienced Site Supervisor – Mechanical to join and strengthen their construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects with a contractor known for quality, safety, and long-term career development. The Role You will report directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager and your role will supervise and control all mechanical AP site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring a Quality installation with all ITP,s completed as the work progresses. Key Responsibilities Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environmentEnsure all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to dateMaintain high QA/QC standards throughout the mechanical installation processSupervise works in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and work instructionsMonitor and record progress of works using record drawings or other suitable methodsIdentify and record non-conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing corrective actions with relevant partiesCoordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of mechanical works About You Several years’ experience within the water or utilities sector, with a strong mechanical backgroundProven expertise in pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and mechanical erectionProficient in pipeline fabrication and assembly, including punching and snagging to Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawingsAppointed Person StatusQualified to HNC/HND level in Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised welding apprenticeship with substantial practical experienceHold valid SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Join?
