Mechanical Site Supervisor

About the Role

You will report directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager and your role will supervise and control all mechanical AP site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring a Quality installation with all ITP,s completed as the work progresses.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organised working environment
• Ensure all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date
• Maintain high QA/QC standards throughout the mechanical installation process
• Supervise works in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and work instructions
• Monitor and record progress of works using record drawings or other suitable methods
• Identify and record non-conformances and improvement opportunities, agreeing corrective actions with relevant parties
• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of mechanical works

About You

• Several years' experience within the water or utilities sector, with a strong mechanical background
• Proven expertise in pipework fabrication, pressure testing, welding, and mechanical erection
• Proficient in pipeline fabrication and assembly, including punching and snagging to Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings
• Appointed Person Status
• Qualified to HNC/HND level in Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a recognised welding apprenticeship with substantial practical experience
• Hold valid SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
