Mechanical Supervisor
About the role
The Mechanical Supervisor leads the mechanical maintenance team in a power generation environment, overseeing daily operations, outage execution, and equipment reliability across critical plant systems. This is a hands‑on leadership role with direct impact on safety, uptime, and overall plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of mechanics and maintenance technicians supporting plant operations
- Own planning and execution of daily maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and outage activities (major, minor, and forced)
- Drive equipment reliability across boilers, piping systems, and rotating equipment through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Utilize CMMS (PeopleSoft, Jaegger, or similar) to manage work orders, backlog, KPIs, and maintenance planning
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
- Cook with operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to support parts, materials, and contractor services
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance efficiency
- Review condition monitoring data (vibration analysis, inspections) and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- 5+ years of industrial or power plant maintenance experience
- 2+ years of experience leading or supervising maintenance teams (or strong lead experience)
- Experience with mechanical systems such as boilers, piping, or heavy industrial equipment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes
- Experience supporting outages, shutdowns, or large maintenance projects preferred

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communicator with the ability to partner across operations and maintenance
- Knowledgeable about materials, requisitions, and maintenance coordination
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and maintenance systems

Pay
The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $100,400.00 - $133,500.00 USD.
