Mechanical Process Engineer - 2nd Shift

About the role

This full-time, onsite Process Engineer position is based at our East Syracuse, NY facility (6457 Fly Rd. East Syracuse, NY 13057). The role is a 2nd shift position with extensive training required on 1st shift. Occasional travel, less than 10% of the time, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with various departments to maintain, analyze, and improve all processes, production, and associated controlled documentation.
• Perform internal and external qualification of new processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis of day-to-day issues associated with the departments.
• Evaluate equipment through Design of Experiments (DOE) and capability testing.
• Accountable for programming and troubleshooting of equipment software.
• Provide technical and analytical support for all customers and suppliers associated with product and chemical processes.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and managers, suggest and compose procedural changes, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, and near misses; generate, accumulate, and handle hazardous wastes as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
• Perform job duties utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and Safety Alerts.
• Apply advanced technical principles to complete medium to complex tasks, providing input on the group’s technical direction.
• Structure project plans and manage cost-effective execution of tasks for assignments of medium to complex levels.
• Act as an important player on large technical projects and programs, using discretion to help design and implement solutions to complex problems.
• Comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements, such as identifying ITAR products, managing foreign visitor access, and handling export requirements for shipments leaving the U.S.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer; 1+ years in a PCB fabrication environment is a plus.
• Master’s degree may substitute for 1+ years of experience.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and process control, with skills in Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong project management skills and well-organized.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react quickly to day-to-day problems with timely solutions and make decisions under pressure.
• Hands-on with an analytical approach to process and mechanical problems.
• Good reading vision, hearing perception, and clear speech.
• Ability to work up to 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, with flexibility to work on weekends.
• Capable of standing up to 8 hours per day, lifting 45 lbs., walking, and having no respiratory issues.
• Fine motor skills and rapid mental-muscular coordination.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $58,857 - $98,095.

Additional compensation may include an annual or quarterly company bonus based on position assignment. Shift premiums may apply for alternative shifts.
