Process Engineer - 2nd Shift

Nature Of Duties

Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.

Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data.

Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.

Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.

Specify new equipment and evaluate new equipment, processes, and materials.

Perform process simulations.

Generate post build/DFM reports and present to customers.

Review customer engineering change orders and deviations and apply to the process.

Manage cost and time constraints.

Review customer returned materials.

Yields review, development of corrective action and implementation of corrective actions.

Train production personnel.

Generate process documentation and operating instructions.

New product introduction and development.

Work with the quote group to quote new assemblies.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 Solder Requirements – IPC Solder Certification is a plus
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard for a quality management system (QMS)
  • Working knowledge of 5S Lean Six Sigma practices
  • Experience in executing process optimization including process engineering
  • Excellent problem solver and ability to generate innovative solutions to broad range of issues
  • Able to explain complex technical issues to other functions in clear and understandable terms
  • Able to meet aggressive program deliverables
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office / Google Suite
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel is a plus, including creating formulas, macros, and charting
  • Experience in Agile and Oracle applications is a plus
  • Able to follow oral and written guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Has willingness to learn, takes initiative, and offers improvement ideas
