Responsibilities
- Set up, start, operate, adjust, and monitor manufacturing equipment in accordance with approved procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Load, transfer, and handle raw materials, components, and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other approved equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and basic repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
- Monitor product quality and equipment performance throughout production runs.
- Calibrate, configure, and adjust thermal spray guns and auxiliary equipment according to established process requirements.
- Monitor process parameters including voltage, current, gas flow, and powder feed rates, making adjustments as required.
- Utilize gauges, microscopes, measuring devices, and hand tools to verify product quality and equipment condition.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues including clogged hoses, nozzle wear, leaks, and process instability.
- Document equipment settings, maintenance activities, process parameters, and troubleshooting actions within the Manufacturing Process Plan (MPP) and other required systems.
- Perform equipment tear-downs, component replacement, corrective maintenance, and rework activities when necessary.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or process technician experience preferred.
- Experience with thermal spray, plasma, HVOF, or similar industrial processes preferred.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance knowledge.
