Responsibilities

  • Support the Actuator Specialty Valve (ASV) and Integrated Support Team (IST).
  • Work assigned tasks to meet schedule and coordinate details with other departments.
  • Recognize problems beyond current capabilities and learn from experts in the area.
  • Learn steps involved to incorporate process improvements.
  • Perform routine functions requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks.
  • Perform small component tests to support senior engineers.

Skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; learning technical writing (procedures, reports).
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of organizational structure and information flow.
  • Ability to recognize problems beyond capabilities and seek appropriate experts/tools.
  • Basic ability to understand and interpret industry and Woodward technical standards, including quality system standards and PLC processes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of commercial and in-house analytical packages (e.g., Excel, equation solver software).
  • Basic understanding of component function, testing, manufacturing processes, drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Effective time management skills.

Qualifications

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree (BS).
  • This position requires use of information subject to ITAR and/or EAR. Applicants must be U.S. Persons (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or eligible for required authorizations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Learn to work as part of a team and contribute to team goals; no leadership responsibilities at this stage.
  • Observe processes and suggest minor improvements under supervision.
  • Gain exposure to tested products and their basic field applications.

Pay

Estimated annual base pay: $65,000 (minimum) – $78,000 (midpoint) – $84,000 (maximum). Plus, 10% shift differential.

Schedule

Must be willing to work 2nd Shift – 2:30pm–11pm CT.
