About the Role
Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the MEP team, of the Buildings sector (Science/Technology & Life Sciences projects), based in San Francisco, California.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and qualify RFP/ RFQ’s and upcoming projects for go/no go potential
- Direct and lead submittals in response to RFP/ RFQ’s
- Manage existing and develop new client relationships
- Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
- Work with project team and clients to meet scheduled project milestones on multiple projects
- Apply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems
- Understand MEP/FP work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan
- Understand proper scope of MEP/FP SD, DD, CD level documents – and deliver appropriate documentation
- Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP/FP, architectural, structural, etc)
- Edit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc)
- Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases
- Thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes
- Advanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers)
- Be able to direct and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis
- QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers, and provide guidance and mentoring
- Understand and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems
- Advance equipment selection and analysis – chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, HEPA filters, DX equipment, and water source heat pumps.
Requirements
- An engineering Bachelor's degree in the field of HVAC/Mechanical Engineering with 15+ years of building HVAC and piping design experience
- Experience in designing HVAC systems for Science/Technology, Life Sciences or Healthcare projects
- Experience with Project Management and leading multidisciplinary team projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred
- REVIT MEP Proficiency required
Qualifications
The pay range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
