About the role
The Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical Engineer II position at Everforth Apex is responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses for flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and experience in project management.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
- Perform related mechanical analysis.
- Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.
- Work with both rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.
- Manage engineering projects.
Requirements
- A BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or an equivalent field is required.
- Candidates should have experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics, working with rapid prototype tooling, and utilizing production tooling.
- Experience in project management is also required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting is necessary.
- Strong communication and writing skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.
- Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Familiarity with thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
- Knowledge of mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.
- Experience using engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.
