About the role

The Mechanical Engineer - Mechanical Engineer II position at Everforth Apex is responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analyses for flight-critical avionics systems. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
• Perform related mechanical analysis.
• Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.
• Work with both rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.
• Manage engineering projects.

Requirements

• A BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or an equivalent field is required.
• Candidates should have experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics, working with rapid prototype tooling, and utilizing production tooling.
• Experience in project management is also required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting is necessary.
• Strong communication and writing skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Enovia for PLM.
• Experience with Dassault 3DExperience Catia for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with thermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.
• Knowledge of mechanical stack-up analysis and structural load analysis.
• Experience using engineering project management software such as JIRA or Confluence.
