About the role
Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join their Mechanical Engineering team in the Lynchburg, VA office. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced engineers designing HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for a variety of projects and clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical plans and designs
- Perform engineering calculations
- Apply relevant codes and standards
- Prepare and review technical documentation
- Contribute to field investigations and testing
- Collaborate with architects and civil, structural, electrical, and other engineering professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam by start date
- Revit experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
Qualifications
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance
