About the role

Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join their Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced engineers designing HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical plans and designs
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Apply relevant codes and standards
  • Prepare and review technical documentation
  • Contribute to field investigations and testing
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam by start date
  • Revit experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance
