About the role

Wiley|Wilson is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Mechanical Engineering team in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, from HVAC and plumbing systems to other mechanical systems. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to build the technical foundation needed to pursue a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical plans and designs
  • Perform engineering calculations
  • Apply relevant codes and standards
  • Prepare and review technical documentation
  • Contribute to field investigations and testing
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering professionals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam by start date
  • Revit experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance
