SharkNinja France · Needham, MA · 1 wk ago
EngineeringFull-time

SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company with a diversified portfolio of 5-star rated lifestyle solutions that positively impact people’s lives in homes around the world. Powered by trusted brands Shark and Ninja, the company drives significant growth and market share gains through disruptive innovation across multiple product categories.

About the role

This is a front-end role where you'll shape what comes next for Ninja's Corded/Cordless Products. You'll work at the edge of technical feasibility, turning ambiguous consumer problems into working prototypes and product roadmap decisions. You'll be embedded in the early-stage innovation phase, moving fast to validate ideas and hand off consumer-tested solutions to the development team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the front-end technology and feasibility roadmap for Corded/Cordless Products, collaborating with engineering, industrial design, brand, and test kitchen teams across the US, UK, and China
  • Build proof-of-concept rigs and functional prototypes to stress-test ideas early — before full development investment
  • Work across the full system: mechanical design, sensors, software, batteries, connectivity — seeing the whole picture
  • Communicate ideas rapidly through sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models, and physical prototypes
  • Run design and engineering studies — solo and in teams — with consumer experience as the north star
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a team culture that treats failure as signal, not setback
  • Stay close to IP development, identifying novel and inventive solutions alongside R&D

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a closely related field
  • 2–4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design
  • Hands-on experience designing electromechanical products in a product development environment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or Creo
  • Experience with plastic part design, including injection-molded, silicone, and rubber components
  • Comfortable in the lab: building prototypes, running tests, reporting findings, and determining next steps
  • Strong communicator — able to sketch an idea on a whiteboard and defend it in an engineering review

Skills

  • Background in consumer goods or household appliances (nice to have)
  • Experience designing sheet metal components (nice to have)
  • Familiarity working with IP teams to identify novel or inventive solutions (nice to have)

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts (HSA) with company contribution
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching
  • Employee stock purchase program
  • Life insurance and AD&D
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays
  • Parental leave
  • Identity theft protection
  • Pet insurance
  • Pre-paid legal insurance
  • Back-up child and eldercare days
  • Product discounts
  • Referral bonus program
  • Wellness programs
  • High-impact learning programs featuring bold voices

Pay

Annual salary range: $78,000—$137,500 USD
