Mechanical Engineer 4

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer 4 position contributes to the Purchased Finished and Product Health team, supporting various aspects such as mitigating supply risks, developing dealer solutions, and ensuring production quality and velocity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with purchasing to mitigate assurance of supply risks with single-sourced electrical machines and components.
• Develop dealer solutions for product in the field.
• Support production quality and velocity targets through rigorous APQP work, deviation management, and supply issue resolution.
• Provide full component level support for new projects, from requirements management through supplier selection, validation planning, and issue resolution.
• Lead assigned projects, understanding overall goals, defining tasks, and executing them effectively.

Requirements

• Years of experience: 8
• Degree requirement: Bachelor’s
• Open to associate degrees with 12 years of experience
• Open to master’s degrees with 6 years of experience
• Do not accept internships as job experience
• Past or additional job titles or roles providing comparable background: Not specified

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication / collaboration

Skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft tools (Teams, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with electric machines or electrification

• Experience with APQP and other quality processes
• Experience with risk management and mitigation, including Virtual Product Development and physical testing
