JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN
- Support the Purchased Finished and Product Health team in managing purchased finished electrification components, aftermarket solutions, and production robustness initiatives.
- Mitigate Assurance of Supply (AoS) risks associated with single-sourced electrical machines and components through design improvements and sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the purchasing organization to reduce supply chain risks and improve component availability.
- Develop and implement dealer support solutions for products operating in the field.
- Support production quality and throughput targets by driving: Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, Deviation management processes, Resolution of supplier-related production issues
- Provide end-to-end component-level support for new product development projects, including: Requirements management, Supplier evaluation and selection, Validation planning and execution, Technical issue resolution
- Lead assigned projects independently by understanding project objectives, defining work plans, and ensuring successful execution.
- Cookordination and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and business objectives.
- Work extensively with stakeholders across: Purchasing, Testing and validation, Dealer services, Product support, System integration teams, Suppliers and manufacturing partners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, supply stability, and production efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understanding, organizing, and prioritizing their work
- Collaborating clearly and effectively with adjacent work groups, including status updates, requests for help, etc.
- Attending, presenting, and participating in stakeholder, project collaboration, and team meetings
- Following standard processes where applicable, including NPI, NTI, and Small Batch
- Evaluating competing options for cost, quality, and velocity
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8+ years in this capacity is a must
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience with electric machines or electrification
- Experience with suppliers
- Experience with APQP and other quality processes
- Experience with risk management and mitigation, including Virtual Product Development
