Mechanical Disassembler

Onsite position in Homer City, Pennsylvania.

About the Role

Disassembles mechanical components and orders replacement parts. Performs necessary cleaning, grinding, and painting to support the repair and rebuild of mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles mechanical components and orders replacement parts.
• Performs necessary cleaning, grinding, and painting to support the repair and rebuild of mechanical components.
• Pulls parts and sets up components for assembly.
• Pulls and labels drawings and bills of material.
• Performs excess stock returns.
• Inventories and reorders expense materials and mechanical shop supplies.
• Preps machines to paint and ship.
• Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping assignments.

Requirements

• Must possess general mechanical capabilities and 6 months or more experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Have basic tools or be willing to purchase.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Understand and read assembly drawings and cable lists.
• Use tape measure (metric & imperial).
• Operate grinders and hand tools.
• Operate sandblaster.
• Operate steam cleaner.
• Proper operation of fork trucks.
• Proper operation of cranes.
• Safety training (Haz-Com, Lock Out / Tag Out, PPE, MSDS, Housekeeping, Lifting, Electrical).
• Knowledgeable of ISO Standards.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledgeable of Apriso applications.

Additional Information

• Ability to work any shift.

• Ability to work weekends.
