About the role
Mechanical Assembler responsible for assembling mechanical components of advanced welding and cutting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Translate technical drawings, diagrams, and BOMs into fully assembled units.
- Use hand and power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches to assemble housings, mounts, regulators, and precision parts.
- Ensure components fit precisely, align correctly, and meet quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot misalignments or faults, collaborating with engineering or QC teams.
- Conduct mechanical and functionality tests prior to final testing or shipping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in mechanical assembly, preferably with heavy-duty equipment or industrial tools.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and instructions.
- Manual dexterity, mechanical intuition, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with metal parts in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Work in a manufacturing setting with safety-first protocols.
- Operate around industrial machinery and mechanical components, occasionally near welding operations.
- Use PPE including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Collaborate with team members in a hands-on environment, with potential for overtime.
