Mechanical Assembler

About the role

SCI, a leading provider of defense and aerospace electronics design and manufacturing services, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for its Huntsville, AL facility. Due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• Performs repetitive tasks on assembly line.
• Follows written instructions from formal procedures.
• Lifts or moves materials usually not in excess of 15 pounds.
• Fills out paperwork associated with assigned work tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.
