Mechanic/HVAC-R

About the role

The Mechanic/HVAC-R serves, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment in LTC Utilities, including high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, and sewers. Duties include complying with HSE, supporting safety initiatives, documenting work, creating job plans, and managing equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all HSE aspects and participate in Safety Improvement activities
• Document all work performed using Good Documentation Practices
• Create and improve Job Plans and procedures
• Perform repairs and overhauls on basic and specialized equipment
• Maintain refrigerant service records
• Stay updated on technical/specialty skills for utility equipment

Requirements

• Experience in high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, and sewer systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
• Universal EPA refrigerant license

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate in a mechanical discipline, or equivalent experience
• Applicable military service training may be an acceptable alternative
• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing production environment or relevant field preferred
• Experience with a regulated industry; FDA regulated industries preferred

Skills

• Knowledge of troubleshooting equipment failures with minimal downtime
• Good documentation practice and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Familiarity with set-up and operation of Maintenance Shop hand tools & equipment; machining and welding capability a plus
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints/schematics

Pay

$21.27 - $41.25 Full-time equivalent employees are also eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).

Schedule

Scheduled for 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Temporary shift changes may occur.
