Mechanic (Electromechanical) – Refrigeration & Facilities Support

About the role

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration support equipment, and building/grounds infrastructure to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Assist senior technicians with inspection, monitoring, and basic maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and related controls.

Troubleshoot motors, starters, relays, contactors, hydraulic components, and mechanical drive systems using standard diagnostic tools and measuring instruments.

Support facility operations including basic boiler room duties, lighting repairs, plumbing support, grounds upkeep, and general building maintenance tasks.

Accurately document work performed in CMMS, follow all safety procedures (including ammonia safety protocols), and actively participate in hands-on training to develop into a Refrigeration Technician role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 1–3 years of mechanical, industrial maintenance, automotive, farm, military, or technical trade experience; trade school training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems (motors, controls, wiring) and mechanical components such as pumps, bearings, chains, and gear drives.
• Knowledge of 3 Phase wiring systems a plus.
• Willingness to learn industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia) and obtain applicable certifications during employment.
• Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting mindset, and ability to work in varying temperatures, and flexible schedules as needed.

Pay

Pay range: $28.00 to $38.00 USD

Schedule

Shift: 6am to 2pm Saturdays, as scheduled
