About the role
We’re seeking a qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our Building Trades team. In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain, repair, and optimise HVAC and refrigeration systems across City of Newcastle’s diverse asset portfolio, helping keep community buildings comfortable, safe, and operational. Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and optimise HVAC and refrigeration systems across City of Newcastle’s facilities
- Support the safe and efficient operation of community buildings
- Apply problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
- Uphold high standards of workmanship, safety, and service
Requirements
- Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic
- Right to live and work in Australia

Pay
$85,149.95 per annum + 17.5% annual leave loading + 12% superannuation for a 38-hour week.
