About the role

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role supporting The Home Depot’s Field Services Organization. The role delivers quality professional customer service that meets or exceeds Company standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities include performing in-home measure appointments, building and maintaining customer relationships, handling sales inquiries, taking in-home measurements, and coordinating installations within the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The position focuses on providing a positive customer experience through accurate measurements, calculations, quote review and presentation. Travel is primarily to pre-defined geographical appointments, with occasional support to company locations. All work is completed using company-issued devices. The Measure Technician reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.

Responsibilities

• Appointment Measures – Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Collaboration – Cooperate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete assigned work activities.
• Compliance – Follow all policies, procedures, and adhere to work schedule.
• Customer Service – Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs; listen to responses; describe features and benefits of merchandise; demonstrate product and services knowledge; identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs.

Physical Requirements

Must continuously stand or walk and regularly lift, handle, or carry material or equipment of moderate weight (8–20 pounds). Working conditions are typically comfortable indoors with occasional mild discomfort.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Work Experience

• 1+ years of previous related work experience.
