Math Tutor

About the role

Tutor student(s) and aid in their understanding of the material covered in their courses.

• Maintain a record of what occurred in each tutoring session, including topics covered, student progress, time spent, and student’s level of preparedness for tutoring.
• Review course topics ahead of sessions to be prepared to utilize time scheduled with student(s).
• Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the communication of changes in schedule or needs of individual students with Math Lab Coordinator and academic counselors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education or a related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience.
• Familiarity with current technologies used to teach math, including computer programs and graphing calculators.
